HIV and Hepatitis C
Adrenal Fatigue is a common factor in people with advanced Hepatitis C and HIV.
Unfortunately one of the medical treatments for Hepatitis C is the administration of corticosteroid (synthetic cortisol) drugs. This suppresses both adrenal and immune function, and causes a more rapid debilitation and death.
With HIV, it has been shown that there is a direct relationship between survival and available cortisol levels.
This means that anything that can be done to reduce Adrenal Fatigue and improve adrenal function can have an impact on the quality and length of life for those who have Hepatitis C or are HIV positive.
